Sent a 4505 in for a facelift, previous owner did not appreciate the artwork. Got letter 1/5 and paid over phone same day. Refinish and reblue. Does anyone know if they do these in batches? How many more weeks should I expect? Thanks. Mark

I think I would get a general answer, I was just wondering if anyone has recently sent something in and how long it took to get it back. Thank you though, I will call Monday.

If you don't mind how much you paid.?

I had a 586 reblued at the factor about 3-4 years ago. They had it about 60 days.

Got it back last week.
The good: nice rebluing slide and frame
The bad: top of front sight had not been touched, rust on it. Rear sight hood had pockmarks that could have been eliminated before rebluing,
The worst was under the grips, pockmarks on both sides of grip, the grips were hiding them, these were shallow enough to be gotten rid of before
the rebluing with little effort. Very dissappointed

Sounds like it got a cheap, factory reblue. Sadly, S&W seems to lack craftsmen who take pride in their work these days.

It came back to me that bad, I'd call and complain. I'd take pictures first in case they wanted to see what I was talking about.

If they couldn't fix it, I'd demand my money back and then reach out to Guzzitaco to see if he would be willing to take on the job. I can tell you he did a beautiful job on the slide of my "unZander" 457.

How do I get ahold of Guzzitaco?
