S&W Roy Jinks Letter?

I only have one gun in my collection with a letter. It is on a 1957 44 mag, but the letter is not from Roy Jinks like I see all others, It is signed by Don Mundell.

How come I've never seen his letters before?

Roy Jinks has been doing letters, I think he said, since the 60's. I think around 1985 S&W started charging for letters.
Roy was Historian for many years.
Don Mundell was Assistant Historian and also did letters. I'm kind of new, so don't know how long Don has been aboard.
I have a half dozen letters. One by Roy, the rest by Don.
Roy has recently stopped doing letters so all letters going forward will be by Don.
Don is now Historian with Roy not doing letters.

Most of my letters are from Roy, but Don's will eventually surpass them in number...I'm grateful we have both men here with us......Ben

Ok, Cool. I don't really care who does the letter, it just seemed I had the only letter that wasn't from Jinks after viewing dozens of others on line.

Roy has retired from doing letters now. The opportunity to have His last letter was auctioned off at the last Symposium, bringing a staggering amount.
