S&W 5904

Got my hands on a new 5904 that I just learned (with the help of a forum member) was manufactured less than a year ago.

That's are very refined looking 5904. Can you tell us more on the manufacturing date? I was under the impression that they'd stopped building these.

I actually have a thread open right now that addresses that very question.

Sure am....Southern Ontario. What gave it away? Was it the re-barreled 3rd Gens LOL. Only allowed over 105mm barrels or roughly 4.2" here, unless you possess a Prohibited License.

Yes, that was the clue.

Can we see the barrels out of the pistols?

Model 39-2 - My very first center fire handgun, purchased new in 1975 along with the holster from Warshall's Sporting Goods in Seattle. Easily has in excess of 5,000 rounds through it. And it is still more accurate than my '70's Browning Hi-Power.

Model 46 - My latest S&W auto purchased at a gun show two years ago. This was the first M-46 I had ever seen in person, so of course I bought it. What a tack driver!

Here you go Palmetto Sharpshooter.Probably more than what you want to see. It's a shame that the original 4" barrels had to be destroyed as per our laws. The cost of re-barreling was actually more than what I paid for the pistols themselves.

That's not really what I was expecting to see. I thought the third generation bulge would be there. Interesting...

Don't have many autos but here's a snap of one of the ones I do have.
