i would have to agree, or is there an advantage of having the 10 round clips then 25 i don't know of?

There are two advantages: (1) It's easier to handle situations like bench rest sighting in the rifle with the short 10 round magazine (not clip):), and (2) I'm illegal in Kalifornia with anything more than a 10 rounder no matter what length:mad:.

They actually look pretty cool too :)

Thought about getting a couple then I saw the price and I would rather have 25 rounders for $18.00 each. If I want to shoot ten rounds I'll shoot my 10 22.

Speaking of..... I read on another forum here about California banning all mail order handgun ammo effective Feb 2011, including any rimfire ammo that can be used in a handgun. What do you know about that?

That's correct, no Internet buying of ammo for delivery to a California address starting Feb 1, 2011. Also, something about ammo can't be on display in a store where customers can get to it.

Unfortunately . . . Yes. There may be a bit of fight left, I don't really know, at this point. I have been stocking up on 22lr, 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP for the past year. My fear is that the likes of 223, 5.56, and 308 will be next for us unfortunate slobs.

Many out of state ammo vendors started earlier this year refusing to ship to certain locations in California. I just happen to be right outside of the ban to ship ammo to San Francisco from certain vendors.

I spoke to my local gun shop owner and he is not all that clear on 22lr. I started buying guns and shooting some 30 plus years ago and never thought or could have imagined the situation we now potentially find ourselves in.

The up side to this is, my wife has been quite understanding and has afforded me the luxury of purchasing a few extra handguns and a new AR build . . . But, what good is it if I cannot feed them? :(

Edit: Apologies for the rant. For those whom live in California and are interested in this issue of concern, here is a link with a quick review on the matter.

The short ten rounders are nice for hunting, less sticking off the gun to snag and slows the kids down when they are shooting as they have to stop and reload more frequently.

As others have chimed in right now nobody really knows for sure how this will effect those of us behind the iron curtain of the PRK. However, there currently is a lawsuit filed to challenge the law and get an injunction against it:
Truckers and gun owner groups file lawsuit against California to void handgun ammunition shipping ban

Hopefully, this lawsuit will kibosh this entire thing so we do not have to worry about this BS anymore.

Cali sucks and I have never and will never feel the need to visit. I feel sorry for all that live there amongest all the librial hippies there.

Isn't $28 shipped high for a 10 round mag? I just got 25 round mags for under $20 shipped.

I agree, seeing how I can go to at least 5 local gun shops here in Louisville Ky and pick up the 25 round magazines all day for $19.99-$21.00 at any given point. I see how this is good for limited capacity states, but still thats a high price.
