This is free? So Jim Supica and Richard Nahas aren't getting any royalties for the huge effort they expended creating the Standard Catalog? Mighty generous if they authorized this; otherwise, it's theft.

.. You would think! Huh?

Dern. Here I was thinkin' (always a mistake to try) we'd be seein' the new 4th edition, as promised. Guess I shoulda learnt on the 3rd. I was, as they call it, proactive. I ordered up 3 of them from Jim at OldtownStation. Next thing I knew, my wife gave away 2 of them, including the autographed copy! This cycle, the kids want books they can buy their own.

Here. ALL 384 pages for $28 to your door. If you really can't afford $28, maybe you are "po".

I was actually pretty amazed at the price on the SCSW hard copy. My wife got mine for around that at a brick & mortar.

For what you get it's a freakin' bargain. I recommend it to anybody with even a passing interest in S&W.

I'm waiting for that myself.
I have the second edition (2001) and I see the third edition is copywrited 2006, so I figure we're already overdue for a fourth edition.

If you have one of the 'EVIL' Kindles you can get the SCSW3 for $15.39.
You can get free Kindle reader for PC/Mac. Copying automatically cites the source. Like this:

"Official S&W Website – Smith & Wesson – includes current product information, news releases, history, logo clothing and products for sale."

Supica, Jim; Nahas, Richard (2006-12-20). Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 3rd (Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson) (p. 46). F+W Media, Inc.. Kindle Edition.

AND it makes a great companion to the book itself.
