I showed a Cuban bartender gun pics on my computer then he took out his phone and showed me his tattoos. Very well done! He said that's as close to owning a gun as he can get, of course. Also, Hemingway's house, typewriter, boat, dog graveyard, and THE CARS!! Our private citizen tour car was the orange & white '55 Ford. Mitsubishi diesel motor, 5 on the floor in a reverse pattern (from a right hand drive car) power windows and air conditioning and it drove great.

I was in cuba in 08, really enjoyed it for the most part. There was a lot of anti-American sentiment though, and I did get awfully tired of the never-ending hero worship of Che and Fidel. To be expected I guess, but it was tiring.

I would like to go back, but its not really that high on my list.

I was about a 10 minute car ride from Hemingway's house but my wife nuked that plan for some reason.
