(there is a circle with maybe a cross in it above the bnp)

Lend-Lease gun originally shipped to England between 1942 and 1945...From the serial number my guess is 1943...Barrel shortened from 5" and reimported after the war for the American market...It may have had the cylinder reamed to accept .38 Spl (if a .38 Spl cartridge chambers then it was)...It may still have its lanyard ring, or it may have been removed and the hole plugged...It probably looks similar to my nickeled BSR shown below at the bottom......Ben
