I have a model 4044,and would like to know the difference between that and a model 4043. Have a chance to pick up the 4043 for 300 dollars...And would that be a good price for the 4043. Thanks..

The 4043 had a stainless steel slide with a satin finish and the 4044 had a carbon steel slide and was blue finish...both had alloy frames. The 4044 had a shorter production run of '91-'93 while the 4043 ran from '91-'99. Other than that they are the same gun. DAO .40 S&W with 11 round mags.
The 4043 later went to a 10 round mag.
Value is to be determined by the buyer/seller but I see most go for between $300-$400 depending on condition, mags, boxes, ect.
