Good Morning,
Whew! The week has flown by, and Sunday again. My Mother used to talk about how time passed quickly, but when I was a kid I already knew everything, so I didn't believe her. She was so right, and the point gets pounded into my thick skull: "The older I get, the smarter my Mother was." She was one tough, kind, sweet and very smart Lady, I wish I could tell her that I love her today.

It was a busy week, with Doctor, Dentist, haircuts, and several other things on the calendar.

I had a appointment for my annual follow up visit with the surgeon that did prostate surgery several years ago. Got a good report, I posted somewhere else that it was a 18 minute long visit from sign in to exit. It gave me time to visit the local gun shop, I loved it. The Doc also confirmed what I suspected, I have a hernia that needs to be repaired. With all the upsurge in virus cases, I am hesitant to schedule it. :-(

Sad news concerning our niece Traci, she passed away Wednesday morning, she was only in her mid 40's. Remember the Morgan Family.

We also lost a dear friend to the virus, a 83 year old lady that we played rook with her and her husband. She spent a month in the hospital before passing. She was a fine Christian and piano player at her church for many years.

On a more pleasant note: Had a short range visit Thursday, to check the sights and action on the MK II's. I am starting to see some improvement in my pistol shooting, but there is still much room to get better. The new sears that I installed really helped the trigger pull.

I think we are just about finished Christmas shopping, and I am so glad.

Tried out Lobo's bean recipe, and it turned out good. We cut it in half since there is only 2 of us.

Enough of my ramblings, besides my coffee cup is almost empty, gotta fix that. :-)

Have a blessed Sabbath,

Leon

Good morning Leon.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your niece and friend.
Mid 40s is way too young to go but when the Lord calls there is no saying no.
In reality 83 isn’t all that old either.
My Mom is 89 and is only recently starting to slow down since my Dads passing a couple years ago.
I’ll be glad when we can put Covid behind us. If that time ever comes.
But I suppose there’s some other malady waiting in the wings.

Sorry to hear of your niece's passing. Mrs. Ogandy was a litle fatigued from yesterday so we also streamed a service here. Not our Church but the Church our pastor came out of. Hope everyone's Sunday is good.

I glad for the OP that his shooting is improving but mine is getting worse and I'm too hard headed to quit and so I just keep trying. Since the beer virus some of us old men are having the only Sunday school class still meeting in our church. Today one of the members taught because the regular teacher has been exposed and is quarantined. Several people in this area have the virus and it seems it just a matter of time for the rest of us. Tonight the children are having their Christmas program outdoors at church and at 12:00 PM it's 67 deg., the sun is shining and very little wind so it should be a super good night. Larry

Our Canadian friends just dropped in to spend the winter. The've got to adjust to Quigley wanting to play with them.

Have a blessed week!

Happy Sunday everybody. Yes, the weeks kind of zip by now, but I'm happy to see each day.

There is a gun show over in Gettysburg today, but I'm not planning on going. I'm a little atsy about getting into any crowd and my gun buying money just went to my dentist.

Question for the group. My nephew has a British .303 rifle and traditionally I've been getting him a few boxes of shells for Christmas each year. With the travel restriction here in PA, I can't travel to my brother's house to leave my nephew's Christmas present (don't worry, I got something for him that can be sent to his home). So now I have the shells I was going to give me nephew. Does this mean I should go out and buy a .303 rifle for myself?
