It's still Merry Christmas around here! Enough leftovers to feed a small army, enough gift returns to spoil a great Monday, enough happy memories to last at least all of next year, enough sad departures to last a lifetime.......

My extra warm socks that I received really feel good, along with the electric heater for my MBH to top off the forced air heat/AC unit.
The Tea cakes and coffee still taste wonderful this morning, I will never get tired of them and the memories that come with each.

The MBH lost a 1st cousin yesterday, not related to the current virus, but because of health issues brought on by years of being vastly overweight.

In spite of all the sad occasions of this last year, we still can count many blessing in our family. Even though I grunt and growl and complain about the least little thing, I can truthfully say 2020 has been a good year. In material things I have gathered a couple of new toys, along with lots of accessories.

In things that really count, I am in better health than I've been in years. The Doctor visits are much less, and are, for the most part, just follow ups.

We gained a new grand daughter and great grand daughter when our oldest grandson got married just the other day. May God richly bless them.

We can still take care of ourselves, even though some things are harder to do, (some are impossible), we are still independent. No bills, no car, house, credit card debt!!

We are so blessed, and I hope and pray that each of you finish the year with peace of mind and heart. Take care and enjoy family and friends while you still have them.

Have a blessed Sabbath, New Year and just think, the days are getting longer! Won't be long until Spring flowers will be blooming!

Thank you for your postings here on this site. Sometimes like today you make me think about my life. I have been whining for the last few months about this lock down we are living through and when I really think about it, it's not all bad. The wife and I have done a lot of things together that I don't think we would have normally done. That has been very nice.
And I should not complain as our gun club is open 6 days a week to members so the wife and I are going there even more than we usually would. And no complaints about our health here. Just had my yearly check up and the doc said I was in very good health.
I just need to thank our good Lord for all His blessings more often and and take advantage of the life He has given me.

It's always good to see your positive messages at the beginning of each week, and I am glad to see the blessings you have received. I just had my morning texts with my uncle and now I'm looking forward to watch the Cleveland Browns hopefully nailing down a playoff spot. I'm working on the leftovers from Christmas. My cousin and her famiy were staying up here in her parents' vacation home and sent over some wonderful home cooking, and I still have half the pizza I made in my big cast iron skillet. Maybe I'll clean some guns and put them away in the safe. There's always something to do that helps to keep my mind active. Everybody have a wonderful day.

I have gotten to the point I look forward to this posting each Sunday.

The OP is right; we all have our assorted problems but over all we are still blessed far beyond what we deserve.

I was asked to dismiss in prayer this A.M. and in that prayer I asked God to take us all safely into 2021 and to be more thoughtful and thankful of our blessings than we had in 2020. I wish the same for everyone here.
