Ole Joe Clark
Absent Comrade
Good Morning,
It's a beautiful, cool Easter Sunday morning in the Heart of Dixie today. I think it was 36 degrees when I first checked the thermometer. I love these days, abundant sunshine mixed with beautiful blue skies.
The Sunrise services are probably over by now. We have been to a few of those, and to be truthful, the thing I remember most was that I just about froze to death.
Got the lawnmower repaired yesterday and the grass and weeds mowed. About dark last night my eyes suddenly became dry and scratchy, and the eye drops burned like fire for a few minutes afterward.
Have you ever received a empty box/envelope from Amazon or similar supplier? I had ordered a container of salve for the MBH, that helps ease the pain in her joints. All we received was an empty envelope from a vendor that sells through Amazon. It is so frustrating for that to happen because you have to jump through hoops to solve the problem caused by someone else.
A busy week on the calendar coming up. We have an appointment for our 2nd virus shot on Tuesday. I will be glad to get that behind us. A couple of other health related appointments to make, and they just drain you. Like the Army, hurry up and wait.
Maybe I will get to prepare for a fishing trip that I promised a guy, (a cancer survivor), at church. In my minds eye I can see the lake now, the water is flat on top with wisps of mist rising and disappearing in the air. The banks are fresh green, with the dogwoods blooming, and anticipation of catching the big one runs high. Then you flip the floating rapala onto the surface, twitch it a time or two and ..........
It's a great time to be alive, and I am blessed with each day that I have.
Enough!!
I insist the you have a blessed Easter, and that you hug your loved ones really close and tell them you love them, and mean it.
Leon
