Good Sabbath Day to all my friends on the forum today!

It's a rainy day, but the roof don't leak
I might have went hungry, but I have plenty to eat.
I might'a been lonely, but there's lots of family and friends.
I might have been lost, but God loves me in spite of my faults.

A kind of spur of the moment rhyme for today. I hope you don't mind.

It's been a busy week around here, Doctor appointments, and more in the upcoming weeks.

I guess today is the final day of celebrating birthdays for September. One of our Daughters and I had birthdays last month. I managed to complete another trip around the sun, my 78th. I have been so blessed, and I love my family.

The world seems to be crazier every day, but thank God for off buttons on TV's, computers, phones and such. If I can't find something positive to enjoy, I certainly am not gonna fill my little brain with garbage. Rant over......

I hope your favorite ball team won yesterday. I know that I have some disappointed nieces and nephews down Baton Rouge way. While I was asleep, one of the teams I root for managed to defeat LSU last night. But, the win and several dollars will buy me a cup of very expensive coffee, (but it ain't gonna happen).

We played music at the opening of Fall social events at a local farm yesterday. Saw lots of people, and enjoyed lots of kids that came by. They are so innocent and some seemed to really like the music.

I think hunting season has, or is about to open here. I've seen lots of turkeys this year, especially over at the range. It amazes me that they ignore the gun fire, but it could have been the first thing they heard when they first hatched out.

My lovely MBH, baked two lemon pound birthday cakes for me this year. One for the family gathering and another for my picking friends last Friday night. I enjoyed a slice a little while ago with some coffee, sure was good.

Enough!!!

Ya'll take care and don't forget to worship Him today. Hug your family and tell them you love (and really mean it) them. Oh yes, do a good deed for someone that can't return the favor.

Have a truly blessed and wonderful day,

Leon

Good morning everybody. It's another bright, sunny day in southcentral PA. I'm looking forward to watching the Browns game today. I'll make sure to get my Lou Groza jersey out for the game.

I went to a Celebration of Life for a nice lady yesterday. She and her husband were active in the Cowboy Action Shooting (TM) matches in the area. Her husband is a member of my club down in Maryland so I made sure to go to this event to help support him. A lot of the people who came and I were in costume because the Cowboy Shooting activity meant so much to the departed lady and her husband.

I was doing some doctoring last week too. My doctors seem to be pretty happy with me so I must be chugging along well.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Keep up the good work Joe. Show those kids a straighter line to follow in life!
My wife made one of those lemon cakes and you’re right, they do go good with a cup of coffee. We have two pieces left.
When I take a bite it makes me smile inside.
I didn’t get to watch any ball yesterday. I was busy with the wood splitter and closing the gardens down for the winter. Weather was too good to be inside anyways!

Good Sabbath Leon,

Thanks again for your weekly uplifting mini-message.

We had our official 50 yard rimfire match yesterday. I was struggling because of the wind and shot well but there were four 250 point scores. That 250 is the 100% mark. Even with a 244, I came in about 6th place. These guys are good!

Still good, clean fun though! I really enjoy the brotherhood and friendly competition.

We are enjoying the cool morning walks. I love the changing seasons. We listen to Dr. James Dobson each morning on the local Christian station. Very up-lifting. I've always supported Christian radio because they beam into the state prisons and provide the Good News for the oppressed.

Quigley says hello. Photo taken this morn at sunrise.

Good sabbath day to you today Leon.

I'm glad you had a good week .

It's been a great weekend weather wise . Yesterday we had two of the grand babies . We love seeing them but after a long day love to see them go home .

I just finished dinner . I cooked a pork loin roast on the grill low and slow and made a potatoe salad and some vegtables .

Probably my favorite Dylan song Is “You ain’t going nowhere.”
But today I went up the country, also a song I really like.
So Go up the Country.
Look up the Road.
Shoot the Picture.
God Bless America, Long Live the Republic.

Thanks for another great uplifting post. Didn't realize it but you and I are the same age except I am 3 months older (June). Anyway loved you opening poem or Rhyme. Remonds me of just how blessed I am. Even with everything that has happened last couple of weeks I am still blessed well beyond what I deserve.

My better half has seen a rough couple of weeks, fell twice broke her neck first time and nose the second. Will be in one of those collars for abot 6 months from what they say. She seems to be progressing well though.

Anyway here's hoping everyone has a great week and a safe one.

My oh my, I'm glad your wife is gonna be ok. We are constantly on to each other about holding on to the hand rail on the stairs. I missed the bottom step on the stairs one day last week and I think I left my fingerprints in the hand rail.

Have a blessed day,

Leon
