Good Sabbath Morning!

It's a cool, damp morning in the Heart of Dixie today. I'm looking for some sunshine, it's been damp and cool all week. Since I've got older, (some would say old), I remember when I was young and just married, that I would laugh at the MBH because she was cold. But now, lookout! old saying!: "the shoe is on the other foot" and I am the one that is cold all the time. The temperature outside is in transition from Summer to Winter and the AC/heating unit does not cycle enough to keep the air dry. I looked like the Rag Man yesterday, with all the extra shirts and ragged pants that I had on. The MBH was out of town with the Girls and I could look ragged if I wanted to.

Well, I hope all the football fans survived another Saturday, and baseball season is winding down. I listened to the Auburn football came and they managed an ugly win, but it counts just as much as a blowout. For some reason I have lost interest in sports and such. I had rather play or listen to some good music, and sometimes when I get out a guitar I loose track of time and things that don't matter. I qualify under Psalms 33:3, "Sing unto Him a new song, play skillfully with a loud NOISE." The caps are mine.

There are many beautiful pieces of music in my old Martin guitars, I'm still looking for most of them.

Today is also the day some folks celebrate Halloween in various ways, I chose not to celebrate in any way that does not bring honor to Him.

Enough!!

Be safe today, watch for the little kids when they are out and about this evening. They are precious, and tell them you love them.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

We hope that all enjoys the Sabbath Day and has a great old time. :) I agree with you about the change when it finally feels like Fall. Cool enough to run a space heater in the morning and then by afternoon the A/C starts cycling. We have not even started up the heater here for the year yet but the cooler front will be here this week according to the forecasts with temps down. We both like the crisp, quiet and cool that is arriving with it being great for getting out the telescope and star and planet gazing for a bit. I still await the return of my people to take me back home to my home planet. LOL

Good Sabbath Leon,

We (Quigley and I) walk the 70 acres behind our house every morning at daybreak. The fall has brought some beautiful sunrises. Here are a few pics.

We are excited about the Braves being in the World Series. It takes us back to 1991 when the boys were about junior-high age. Our whole family had the "Braves Fever" due to staying up too late following the games. Great memories!

We're not big on the Halloween thing. However, we do keep some candy ready for the neighbors' kids when they come by. I think Quigley enjoys it more than anyone! He adores children.

Wishing all here a safe and blessed week ahead!

Good afternoon and Happy Halloween everybody. The monsoons have blown through and we have a dry pleasant day for the kids. I try to stock just enough candy so that I don't end up with the temptation from a big stack of leftover candy.

Yesterday was a busy day with the machine gun shoot and then I stopped off at the York gun show on the way home. I picked up a box of .455 Webley shells from the regular vendor who comes down from northeast Ohio. I always make sure to get a box every time I go to the show so that he keeps selling them. I know a lot of the vendors now and the lady who stamps hands is always glad to see me because she trades out for the Golden Dollars that I pay my admission fee with.

I have my Lou Groza Cleveland Browns jersey on so that I'm ready for the Browns game. Everybody enjoy the day.

Went to a costume party last night with old friends and it felt great to be with people again on my wifes favorite holiday... I am dressed up like a big game safari complete with gorilla.. ready for the little ones to start coming in.. we use the inverse candy ratio.. the younger they are the more they get.. Happy Halloween

I thought of you Saturday when I got a package from Amazon. It was a 3 CD set of 84 songs done by Merle Travis. They are not all politically correct in this day and age but boy could that man pick out a tune.
When I was a kid I thought Merle Travis and Les Paul were the best.

I have quite a bit of stuff by ole Merle. They broke the mold when he was born. I also have lots of Chet Atkins stuff, a whole box of LP's.

I am putting all my music on a Linux computer, and am about 50/60% complete. Still have about 125 plus CD's to add. It's a chore.

Have blessed day,

Leon

As always Leon your Sabbath Ramblings are spot on. Still not able to go to worship services at my Church due to the better half's condition but we do have a good streaming service from a local church.

Hope everyone had a safe and quiet Sunday. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed week.

Cold, cold day here,I'm getting old too lol
Spent the last 10 days blowing, raking and mulching leaves and piling them in the compost bin with some water and nitrogen. Got curious about the temp inside the pile, borrowed the landladies meat thermometer and checked [emoji38]
Sis is appalled and I'm laughing . 135°!

I used to mulch my leaves and such. Sometimes on a cold morning, you could see the steam rising from the pile.

Ya'll stay warm, it's supposed to get cold here by the weekend.

Have a blessed day,

Leon
