I am primarily a Glock guy when it comes to duty gear, but I want to get a duty holster for my M&P compact to take out on range days to train with it as well. Couple of questions for you guys more well versed on the Safarilands than I am.

With my Glock holster, 6390 with light, I have it for my full sized 17 with TLR-1 but my 19 will also fit if equipped with the light.

If I order a Safariland 6390 with light attachment for full size M&P, will my 4” compact also secure into the holster like my 19 does?

And finally, besides the paddle vs duty belt attachment, what are the differences between the Safariland 6378 and 6390? Is it just the attachment? I will be using the quick attachment on the holsters and do not care if it comes with paddle or belt attachment.

Search out Strohman Enterprises and talk to or email the folks there. They are reasonably accessible and quite knowledgable.

I'm not sure what model number Safariland I tried but it only liked the thicker slide of the gen 1 M&P and not the thinner cut slide of my M&P9L or M&P 4" 2.0
