I just got one of these for my M&P and it is a really nice unit. It is some kind of man made type material with a suede liner. It has an adjustable locking system and thumb release that really secure the pistol nicely and allows for an easy release and draw. I tried a Serpa prior on another pistol and it was no where near as smooth as the ALS. The paddle holds the holster snug but the belt hook is so hooked, it is a pain to take off without unbuttoning your pants. I removed it as I am using it for "play" and not work. It also comes with a belt loop that can be swapped for the paddle. Good price too, about 40.00. Just throwing it out there for those that may be in the market for a M&P holster.

They're great holsters. I have the belt loop model (6377) for my 1911's and I love it. Very fast and very secure and reholstering is a breeze, just drop the gun in and it locks. They get my recommendation as well.
