I have been using these speedloaders for well over 10 years.

Since these are around $15 each....

I have a dumb question from a tight wad.

I am assuming these loaders wear out compared to HKS?

I am starting to have trouble where the twist to lock the rounds in no longer has a click. I have had several round dumps as I pull from the loading tray. Also pulling from the tray is a lot more difficult.

I have cleaned the tray and the loaders, but still having difficulty. My last match is in Jan 2019 for the season.

is there a fix to return the positive lock in click or should I give them the proper burial and get new.

thanks in advance

I've got some that are probably 20 years old that are still going. The 2 things I've found that can make them not work right are:

(1) The tube in the end needs to go in and out freely. These are a soft plastic and sometimes swell outward. They can be carefully trimmed down a bit to move freely. There is a white plastic plug at Ace hardware that fits in the end and helps a lot, especially on new S/Ls.

(2) There is a cross pin just under the shroud that you hold that can work it's way over to one side and interfere with the spring. The pin can be pushed back to where it's centered inside the spring on both sides.

I BELIEVE THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID TO RINSE THEM UNDER RUNNING WATER.
WHEN SHOOTING THE N.P.S.C. AT ALB,NM WE FOUND THAT THE BLOWING SAND AND SUCH REEKED HAVOC WITH OUR COMP III's.
THE RINSE DIDN'T WORK TOO WELL. WE TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT LEVEL. WE TOOK A OLD RAGU JAR FILLED IT HALFWAY HOT WATER AND A FEW DROPS OF DISH SOAP. DROPPED IN A SINGLE COMP III. CLOSED IT UP TIGHT AND SHOOK THE HELL OUT OF IT. YOU COULD SEE THE DEBRIS IN THE WATER THAT WAS GUMMING UP THE LOADER. A QUICK RINSE IN CLEAR WATER AND LAID IN THE SUN TO DRY. WE FOUND IT TO BE VERY EFFECTIVE. GIVE IT A TRY. YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE. JP

$15 (NZ $22.50) each?

Here we are paying NZ$65 each :eek::eek:

I knew I should have bought a few when I was on holiday

Although I prefer the Comp II to the Comp III.
Wow! How about the Austrian Jetloaders? I, too, prefer II to III, mainly for size, but the Jetloaders aren't much larger than IIs.
