Hello all! I am picking up my Compact 2.0 and was trying to find if any of the cleaners on the market harm the grips and changeable grips. Don't want to ruin a new pistol. Thanks, Butch

I have NEVER had any grip, stock, finish ruined by Rig #2 Oil. Rig #2 Oil has been my go to for 40 years. I use it for cleaning, as a rust preventative and lubricant - works very well and the carrier evaporates soon after applying leaving a non dust attracting layer of lube & protection behind. Also GREAT for the inside of firearms as it won't attract dust and debris.

I would guess any CLP product currently on the market is fine for cleaning modern polymer parts; apply and wipe off quickly. If not, the companies would be buried in lawsuits, not to mention scathing S & W Forum reviews. ;)
