hello folks,
Just wanted to say hello, I've been lurking for a bit looking and researching reloading info for revolvers. This forum comes up quite a bit in searches. After a few weeks I decided I may as well sign up.
I'm a 16 year LEO who mostly shoots semiautomatics but lately I've got the revolver bug. I've had a .22 kit gun for years and love it and recently picked up a very nice condition model 19-4 with a 6" barrel. Coincidentally our range Lt. was cleaning up and found an old 60's vintage duty holster for a 6" revolver that he tossed to me instead of in the rubbish. That's been my range holster so far for the big barrel. I'm certainly no quick draw with short arms and long barrel!
I'm also new to casting bullets, I've been casting 160 LSWC's with a Lyman 357446 and sizing them .358 to match the forcing cones. Accuracy was ok with trailboss and horrble with Bullseye in moderate loads in .357 cases but I'm working on that. Got some cases in the tumbler now and some AA5 on the shelf. I'd like a nice medium training plinker round that is more accurate than I am.
Well that's where I'm at folks, happy to be here.
