A hardy congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs for winning their 5th NBA Championship this evening.

Living just outside San Antonio, a number of us were sitting in my front room watching the game. Adopted son BBQ'd and there were about 2 dozen here. Good time was had by all.

Makes for a great fathers day.

A super Miami Heat played a tough series and they are to be congratulated also for giving their best. True professionals.

GO SPURS GO!!!!!!!

You're just trying to be polite to our Florida members,Right? Miami was run over by a more determined and better coached team.Spurs had the younger players with more speed and no fear of LeBron,Wade or Bosh.Leonard,Parker and Mills could be the nucleus of a Spurs team that will be on top for some time.Never did like Genobli and his antics but along with Duncan they provided the leadership for the younger players.

I was rooting for Miami to at least be competitive but it wasn't meant to be.They spent so much energy trying to come back from double digit deficits that there wasn't enough gas left in the tank to keep up.Spurs also had the better bench players who were able to provide both defense and offense.

It was a well earned victory for the Spurs! I just hope Miami learned something from the butt-kicking they took.

Well, now that the NHL and the NBA are finally over we can concentrate on more important things-SEC football fer instance :D

The Spurs came to play. They out played the Heat and showed that good team work trumps a couple of superstars.

Well done, Congratulations!!!

The Spurs put on a clinic on how teamwork wins games, they were masterful, kudo's to Popovich getting them onboard.
Tim Duncan, besides being one of the best to ever lace on sneakers, is pure class.
