Just stopped by one of the better LGS in town to just see what they had. As I was walking around they rolled out a cart with 130 cases of 1000 rounds of Tula 9MM.

Aside from that they had thousands upon thousands of 5.56/.223, .308, 7.62x39, .45ACP, and many others.

Cheapest was Tula steel case at $1.40 a round.

Did you bother to offer your condolences? First for the Tula, then for the other like-priced "offerings"?

Just about, but I was torn between laughing and cussing so I just left.

Oh, also, I could partially see into the stock room where they had a lot more boxes waiting to be dealt with.

Overall though I bounce between hating price gouging and supporting capitalism.

Item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Back during the first gun ban, I remember I had tons of OEM Colt 20 and 30 round mags that were getting long in the tooth so I decided to post em on the AR15 forum, in hopes of selling enough of them to replace them with E-lander mags. Let me tell you, I sold each and every one of those mags, enough that I was able to buy two pallets of E-lander mags, 1 pallet of 30 round mags and another pallet of 20rd mags. Now, I'm set for life, as I not only have tough, Teflon coated steel mags, but 2 rebuilt kits for each mag I own. Ammo is like magazines, if you have spare change lying around doing nothing, buy a mag or box of ammo. About 8 months before the pandemic hit, my local Walmart had 9mm and 5.56GT on clearance, 9mm was 5 a box and the 5.56gt was 2.99 a box, no limits posted so I bought everything they had on the floor and in the back.

I have a friend at one of the Ac.Sp. stores, yet I find even that is not enough in the real World availability. A couple of P's ago I started planning ahead, in all calibers. It has paid off.

Not giving all of the different calibers away, I can safely say that I am OK for the next ~10yr at roughly 50rd/wk. I only hate paying the range fees for the rifles...

Hey handguns, I can shoot at my home range legally. Need to slow down, but still have ~+10,000 to reload,... once I make room with the brass... I hate getting old... ;);)

BTW, I actually do have enough of everything to do the above, in stock, but I really need to start rotating, if you know what I mean...
