Santa's shoot

Looks like a fine day on the trap field.

The problem I would have in the Vintage Clays shoots at the club, was everybody would be looking at the fire and smoke of the shotgun. Nobody was watching the clays to keep score!

A side by side at the trap range......?

It's camera time !!

I get weird looks with my little .410 pump, let alone my 20 Ga side by side.
Long gone days, that were fun and some were a work of art !!

The smell in cold weather is unforgetable.....................

mostly if the hairs in your nose have......

icecickles on them !!

I never keep score; I just enjoy the friendship. I and another are the last lovers of side by side 16 gage shotguns. Sigh. It is tough.

While I have several shotguns 99% of the time a sxs. My 16ga Francotte is a favorite. Merry Christmas.

Shot my first 50 straight in doubles trap with a Model 21. The guy that owned it tried to sell it too me. It had about six or seven gold inlays and some XXX wood on it and I would have loved to had it but in 1984 $3500.00 for a shotgun was out of the question.
The guy that ended up buying it passed away a couple years ago. The family sold the gun for just under $30,000 at Rock Island auction.

I shot on a winter skeet league for quite a few years. 3 of the members collected SxS's, and we always had the last league shoot of the spring using SxS's. I only had my more modern Ugartachea SxS choked IC and Mod but it got along on the skeet field much better than some of the Mod & Full guns did.
