Move the clocks foreward.

LOL. But someone's gotta change the caption as that pic was actually taken at Avebury, several miles away. Also pretty impressive and the pub there is excellent :)

One of my favourite cartoonists, Sandra Boynton, has this to say about Daylight Saving Time:
Boynton on DST.webp

We've just gone to permanent DST here in BC (now to be known as "Pacific Standard Time") after years of wrangling and squawking about it. And, not surprisingly, the media are STILL squawking about it, with every expert chiming in on whether it's a good idea or not. The hope was that WA, OR and CA would also adopt it, but when that clearly wasn't going to happen, we (well, The Royal We, ie the provincial gubbmnt) decided to go it alone. (CA probably would have to add a Prop.65 clause to it.)

I've never found it affected me one way or the other, the time change "was what it was". Come November I'll have to pay more attention as my gf lives across the line in Bellingham WA and I usually go down to visit on Thursdays. She is not a morning person, so I will be in deep doo-doo if I arrive to go for breakfast at 8am rather than 9.

As the line in the Monty Python "Bruces" sketch goes, "The is going to cause a bit of confusion."

There is a bill in Congress now to split the difference and permanently change the clocks by 1/2 hour and leave it there forever...Which would put us out of sink with the rest of the world by half an hour and seems stupid to me.....we are now on DST...leave it there forever.

In my defense I'm not British.

ETA:
I DO wish that they would pick a single setting
and keep it.

The term "brain-dead" applies to anyone who pushes the half-hour compromise...but a typical politician. Geeezzzz..... !

You know…this really sucks !
Found this reminder post and moved my clock forward but I was still late for an appointment this morning. Perhaps I should have just left it where it was and changed the time instead.
At my advanced age I need clear and precise instructions. I also need food that’s easy to chew, my reading, distance, prescription sunglasses and my morning, noon, and evening meds. Anyone wanna go shooting with me? I’ll drive and even buy lunch!

What were we talking about again…….??
