I just saved myself $80 by repurposing my old G26's Mitch Rosen EXP-UPL holster, and from what I can tell, it fits my Shield perfectly. The extra leather needed for the thicker G26 seems to perfectly accommodate the extra material needed for the greater difference between the bottom of the trigger guard and the top of the slide & sights of my Shield. I can shake it fairly briskly and it will hold. I wouldn't do a flip like a dancing FBI agent, but I wouldn't do that anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch Rosen uses the same or near same template for both the Shield and G26.

I can also use my SIG P229's Old Trail Leather pancake holster for my M&P9 M2.0 Subcompact. This one is not as perfect (the G26/Shield seem like a perfect fit), but this particular holster certainly close enough in my opinion. This one saved me about $60.

It pays to check your box of old holsters, that's for sure. I wouldn't necessarily use the P229 holster as my main M&P Subcompact holster, but I definitely would use the G26 for my Shield.

I’ve repurposed a custom holster made for a Kahr P9 to fit my new SIG P365. When I got the SIG, I was a little apprehensive about trying it in the “wrong” holster but the fit was perfect. Fairly minor differences in the pistols but nothing that prevented a good fit.

Now I am using my favorite holster for my new pistol!

I have a Bianchi Shadow II holster that is marked on the back for a SIG SAUER P229R. It fits my CZ-75 D PCR perfectly. I wanted an old style, all leather pancake holster with a thumb break strap and it seemed my only options were expensive customs or hideous plastic with all kinds of screws and protuberances which I guess the younger gun owners think makes them look like Robocop.
I found the Bianchi new in the bag on ebay for less than half of what the custom makers wanted and didn't have to wait several weeks.

I just checked Galco's website. The same model Ankle Lite holster model number is for both the Glock 26 and the S&W M&P9 Compact (the old compact which is virtually Identical to my M2.0 Subcompact which fits perfectly), so it makes sense that even a more model-specific holster still fits well enough for both guns.
