A road trip up the east coast of Fla. visiting relatives the previous week found Ms Native and I in St. Augustine to see Peter Frampton with our favorite couple, friends from way back.

He walked out assisted with a cane, sat upon a stool and immediately chugged to life in good voice and form. A bit debilitated minor mistakes were made on the quicker runs but his soul and style along with a true love and appreciation for what he was doing and who for blew the crowd right out of the water. This was my 3rd time seeing him over many years (8th for my wife and her best friend since H.S.) and he hasn't failed yet.
No opener, just 2 1/2 hrs. of an evening with Peter Frampton.

The four of us spent that afternoon strolling St. Augustine, among other things visiting Flagler College, Henry's repurposed Ponce de Leon Hotel built in the 1880's. While in the lobby I overheard a story of how Henry Flagler's ghostly image appeared immediately after his funeral in 1913. Easily overlooked amongst the thousands of tiles I never would have spotted the one if not pointed out.

The tale was the image appeared on the exact spot a corner of the coffin struck the floor when dropped.

Being from a slightly earlier era in history, I actually never heard of Peter Frampton until I saw this video of my favorite instrumental group a few years ago...He seemed to have been happy to keep up with the old guys...:D...Ben
