If you have a VOIP (internet-based) phone, get Nomorobo. It's free for landlines, and $1.99/month for cell phones. When a scammer's robot dials your number, the phone will ring only once, and the caller will be assigned to Nomorobo oblivion.

Some months ago I was getting several harassing robocalls a week from some bill collection agency in Georgia. It went on for several months. I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Financial Protection Board and that ended it. It's very important to NOT speak with such callers under any circumstances.

I'm in the midst of Medicare and Social Security paperwork. I get cellphone calls once or twice a day that hangup without a message.According to the area codes the only States that haven't called me are Alaska and Hawaii.

I don't answer any of them and if they don't leave a message I immediately put them on a reject call list.Legitimate callers will usually leave a message even if you don't want to hear it.

Been getting robo calls hot and heavy these last few weeks. My youngest just had a baby boy so it's always in my mind that something is wrong. Usually when on the computer I keep the phone by me if no one else is home. Don't know the number don't answer the phone. Frank

I don't answer those call and if they don't leave a voice mail I will block them, I have showidcaller on my phone, those yahoo don't have nothing else better to do is to rip people off, their is a place for those people that do that, their game is going to end.

if you choose to engage with crazies.......good luck with the results.....

I am so thankful that my land line phones are equipped with call blocking. Once the recorded (or thick accented) spiel begins, I just punch a button. Not a day goes by that I don't see several calls blocked.

I don't pay for phone service as a medium for someone to annoyingly interrupt me from whatever I'm doing.

I don't give out my cell phone number indiscriminately, but even so I get a scam call now and then. If it's an actual person, I just tell them to go get a real job or as an alternative, go to hell.

I was thinking of buying on ebay the sealed NIB i7/256gb/16gb Miccosoft Surface Pro 4 for $7.19 with free shipping.

Good Deal?

I think you can just ignore them, but they will surely call you again next time, using same or different numbers. It's better to report the number to FTC, and maybe you want to sue the caller if they are legit companies. I read a good article at My $4,500 Payday from a Telemarketer about someone who gets money from telemarketing company because of the violation that they have done. It might be a good idea to just bring the case to the court.
