Who is running what and why? I need to find a scope for the mp10 that won't break the bank but it good quality and accuracy for bench or bi-pod prone target shooting.

I have been looking at the Nikon M-308, for the money it seems like a good bang for the buck option. Comes with mount.

Nikon M-308 Riflescope : Cabela's

Also looked at the Leopold vx-r 4-12 at $669 but it's less powerful and you have to spend another $119 on the mount for it.

Leupold® VX-R Series Riflescopes : Cabela's

Any other options for $500-750 range?

im running the swfa 16x and love it. $299 new

Its the best of both worlds being a fixed scope.

my next scope will be a swfa 5-20 but wow expensive.

The m-308 went on sale for $479 with a mount. Had to buy it... bought a p-223 with the money I saved and that will go on my mp15 :)

I enjoy the Trijicon TA11E. Much better eye relief than the 4x ACOG's but still the hard-core durability and reliability.

I don't use my M&P10 for distance beyond 300 yards usually. I have a bolt gun for that, so the ACOG fits my uses well.

I put a Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 on my LR-308. Great bscope for under $300. Used the 6-screw Burris Xtreme rings too.

Hmm. . . Hunting AR. Somehow I just can't seem to bring myself to put a 2.5 pound scope on a 7.7 lb rifle. Toting a 10 lb. rifle around doesn't seem like fun to me. Think I'll go to one of those lightweight 10oz. scopes put out by Leupold. Even with my old eyes, I can still do an elk some real damage at 350 yrds. with a 7X. If your shootin' your M&P 10 further than that, your either a fool, or your shootin at a two legged critter. Right now, I just have the license for an elk. The Zombies'll have to come later.

I've been running a primary arms 4-16x44 that cost less than $200. Glass is clear and it has held zero for about 1000 rounds no problem. Don't let the price fool you, I highly recommend this scope, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better scope for under $600

Running a Zeiss 3x9 with the Rapid Z 600 reticle in a American Defense throw lever type mount. About $700.
