Anyone have load data for Scot Pearl for the 38 Spl. and ~160 gr. cast bullet?

Accurate Arms acquired Scot, and it was acquired by Hodgdon. Check with Hodgdon and see what they recommend.

Most of what I remember of it's data was shot shell related. Seems to me that Pearl was more or less a green dot ish propellant.

If trying an internet search? look at Royal Scot or Brigadier powders from the 80's-90's. Some were made in Scotland and some in Israel.

I've looked several times over the past 2 or 3 years and wasn't successful. I bought a pound at a tag sale for $3, now it's demise will commence 4 grs. at a time.

I acquired a large batch of Pearl Scot powder from a friend who closed his gun shop. I did not have any luck using the powder in 38 spl with 158gr lswc. I found the powder extremely dirty to shoot, smoky and VERY temperature sensitive. I gave some of the mid loads to a couple guys and they also complained about the same issues. During one range session during a cold day the bullets could actually be watched as they went down the 25 yds to the targets, some bullets reportedly bounced down range. Maybe I got a bad batch or it was compromised some how, although it looked and smelled ok when I opened the can. At least I didn't buy the stuff.
