New to the forum (3rd day) I was rummaging thru my 40 yr collection of S&W stuff I came across this screwdriver that I hoped the picture uploaded. If it did not I will describe it. It is two tone, blue shaft with heavy steel top, knurled bright finish (appears to be maybe nickel). The screwdriver appears to be new, and I can't recall where I got it the last 40 yrs. My question is two parts. First did this screwdriver come with any particular gun at all and if so when, how old is it. A second question: how many differant types of S&W screwdriver designs have there been over say the las 50 years or so. I'm familiar with the more popular, I guess, you call them "fluted", and I've seen the "flat black" one..any others. I tried several times to upload picture with the attachment icon and it saying "failed error".. so no pix here...and here we go again. probably operator error, me somehow..Thanks Tom

Welcome to the Forum. Good first question!
The link posted by 410bore should answer all the questions you might ever have about SATs. The nickeled knurled SAT is a very desirable item. There is one on a popular auction site presently with a Buy it Now price of $265. No bidders the last time I looked.

The nickel knurled should sell in the $150-175 range I would guess, assuming excellent condition

Welcome!

Hey fiveXR
Welcome aboard! The link that was psoted above can also be accessed through the "Expert Commentary" in the above header! When you have some extra time you might want to browse the many commentaries! There is a lot of information in there written by poeple with many years of experience in collecting things Smith & Wesson! The best part of this sight is they all are willing to share that knowledge!
