I just recently purchased this gun it has a loaded when up indicator I would like to remove it it was a California compliant gun but I am a Idaho resident.do I have to buy a whole new slide?and does anybody know if I have to change anything inside thee gun? Since it was California compliant?

I noticed no responses- so welcome aboard and here is my take on your questions, …..I know the loaded chamber "flapper" is a over engineered device and I find that it is pretty
ugly...but I guess if it were my gun that I would just ignore it's being there and leave the gun as is...more trouble and expence. Invest the money in ammo and shoot that thing...

It can be removed by driving out the pin. There are replacements available that do not have the tab that contacts the case. Or you can either leave it out or grind off the tab. Remember, Cal compliant SD's have a magazine safety.
