sd9 VE to sd40

hey guys, i just bought my first s&w product a couple days ago, an sd9ve, i must say im pretty pleased with it. i put a couple hundred through it with only a couple jams on the last round in the mag. my question is, can i buy a sd40ve barrel and mag and have it fit and function in my 9mm? thanks

I believe you would need the whole slide assembly

yeah, i was just thinknng about that, that of course the barrel is going to be bigger

I don't think so. I know you can go from a .40 to a 9mm, at least in an M&P, but not from 9mm to .40, AFIK.
