Please define "trouble" !! I'm not crazy about 3-dot sights and even less so when the rear sight is PLASTIC!!!! I believe mine are off to the left a bit, but that's correctable !! Frankly, I probably have more trouble with my VISION than the sights. Between my eyesight and the front sight looking tiny compared to the rear dots, I'm surprised I shoot as well as I do !! Glasses AND new sights are on my agenda !! Several forum members have complained about shots going low/left in a nice cluster. This could be operator error OR sight misalignment from the factory, I'm not sure which !! Don't know if this helps or not !! You MAY want to have another shooter, one you KNOW is a good shot, shoot your pistol and see if the problem persists. Hope this helps !!

I found a sweet deal on Try-Glo fiber optic sights a bit back and put them on. But there wasn't anything wrong with the factory sights.

This seems to come up a lot, over and over. I don't seem to have a problem with my SD0VE. the bullets seem to go where the gun is aimed when it fires.

If I ever had to actually use the gun in a self defense situation, and if I had time to aim, the sights will do the job for me. In any other case my red laser pointer would help a lot. (I picked that over the flashlight option, I thought about those two options for a long time and the laser made the most sense to me.)

I installed a factory M&P rear sight. It's metal, fits the SDVE series pistol, and you can buy one from Brownell's for $14 and change. Don't forget the set screw!
The factory SDVE sights are plastic with the dots painted "onto" the sight. There are no indentations for the painted dots! SMH!

I did the same thing. The plastic and metal look just alike so I suspect my improvement in shooting is all in my head.

I see quite a bit of difference in the 2 sights. And, my improvement in shooting is because both dots on the M&P sight are lined up perfect. The SD sight dots, one is painted higher than the other.

I went and looked a the removed plastic one. The dots are straight.
