I currently have a Shield 9mm and use a Rawdog Tactical IWB holser I got last year. I love the holster. I wear it at 4-5 o'clock and it is very comfortable. It is not a tuckable holster.

I recently decided I have a need for a tuckable holster. I looked at the 2-clip designs such as Alien Gear, and decided they look to be too bulky for me. Rawdog does not make a tuckable holster.

After hours upon hours of searching, I ran into the only model that is a hybrid single clip tuckable - the Vedder RapidTuck model. To me it closely resembles the Rawdog. The only concern that i have is it seems bulkier than the Rawdog; there seems to be excess leather beyond where the kydex attaches to it. Maybe I am overthinking it.

Are there any other quality IWB tuckable hybrid (leather back, kydex shell) single-clip holsters out there because I have not found any.

Thank you.

Well, allow me to weigh in here, since I'm the guy who developed the first of these things, which Mitch Rosen graciously markets as "The Workman."
In all honesty, I would stay away from Kydex for one of these deep cover rigs simply because it doesn't allow the holster to marry itself against your body and allow a smooth cover like leather does.
The Workman, and my own rig that I call the "Undershirt" are made from slightly thinner leather and tooled to the individual gun.
But it's up to you.

tuckable

I agree with Dave that leather works best. Here a one of mine that's tuckable. if a customer specifically requests it to be tuckable I sew in a pad behind that clip for maximum hold on to his shirt
