Lawyers Seasonal Greeting
From me or us ("the wishor") to you ("hereinafter called the wishee")
Please accept without obligation or liability, express or implied, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, politically correct, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or your or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all... and a financially successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but with due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures or sects, and having regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform or dietary preference of the wishee.
By accepting this greeting you are bound by the following terms and conditions or such other terms and conditions as the wishor may impose from time to time:
1. This greeting is subject to further clarification or withdrawal.
2. This greeting may be passed on freely to your friends, acquaintances or correspondents provided that the proprietary rights of the wishor are acknowledged.
3. This greeting implies no promise by the wishor to actually implement any of the wishes.
4. This greeting is subject to the laws of England and may not be enforceable in certain jurisdictions and/or the restrictions herein may not be binding upon certain wishees in certain jurisdictions and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wishor.
5. This greeting is expected but not warranted to perform as reasonably as may be expected within the usual application of good tidings, for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, or until withdrawn by the wishor whichever comes first.
6. The making of any statement in this wish does not infer or imply or give any warranty or guarantee of the wishors authority to make any such statement.
7. The wishor accepts no liability for any injury or harm, physical, mental or otherwise to the wishee caused by or in any way resulting from the wishee reading this greeting or in any way having it communicated to him in any permanent or temporary format.
8. Any references in this greeting to "the Lord," "Father Christmas," "Our Saviour," or any other person or festive figure, whether actual or fictitious, dead or alive, shall not imply any endorsement by or from such person or festive figure in respect of this greeting, and all proprietary rights in any referenced third party names and images are hereby acknowledged.
9. The wishors do not admit or deny the existence of any person or festive figure referred to in the preceding clause, and any similarity to any other real or corporate person or festive figure is coincidental and shall not give rise to any legal proceedings.
10. In these terms and conditions the singular shall include the plural and the masculine shall include the feminine.
Notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing may we take the opportunity of wishing you Happy Holidays or bon fête!
