Hello fellow old Smith lovers. I'm pretty sure that the 22/32 shared serial numbers with the pre war 32 HE. Did the regulation police models or any other models also share the same serial range with the 22/32 and 32 HE?

As am sure you recall, the Model 1896 was the first 32 HE and the serial numbering system started with "1" in this model. Even though the design change dramatically in 1903, no changes in serial numbering occured.

The 32 Regulation Police did occur in the range of the 32 HE. Typically, they had extended stocks. Outside of the 32 Target HE which was the same as the 22/32 design is the only other model that I can think of occuring for this pre-WII I frame serial number range.

This is not accurate. The Model of 1896 had serial numbers from 1 to 19712. When the Model of 1903 was introduced, the serial sequence started over at 1. From that time forward, the sequence didn't change.

In chronological order:
32 HE (1903)
32 HE Target
22/32 HFT
32 Reg Police
32 Reg Police Target
22/32 Kit Gun
