Serial # Question

I have a S&W model 38 spl 5 shot snub nose revolver. There is a 7 digit serial # on the butt of the grip J124xxx. There is also a different 5 digit serial number 363xx on the arm that is attached to the 5 shot cylinder and a large unknown symbol and a number 3. What do these cylinder arm numbers represent? Thanks for the help.

Likely shipped in 1973 based on the J124xxx. The other numbers are factory internal codes.

Sorry about the typo........the revolver is actually a model 36 "chief's special"..........38 spl.
