sharp rear sight blade on my 1911

I've been using my S&W 1911 for IPSC S/S last few matches and found out I really hate the rear sight on the gun. After a match my wrist and/or forearm look like i was attacked by a hedgehog.

Does anyone know what my options for a smooth adjustable rear or rear/front sight are?

I'd prefer not to have the slide recut for different dovetails.

How bout dehorning the sight blade edges and refinish or replace the sight blade with one that has the corners rounded or removed.

Is this user servicable? I claim ignorance as my primary experience is with Sigs and their sights are not multi-part. If I can buy a sight blade that's user replaceable I'll pursue this way

I don't have a sw 1911.

Is your rear sight a wilson adjustable?

If so, when I had a 945...I replaced the 3 dot set up with plain blk sights.

Iirc, the rear sight blade replacement was ez.
