I have a question probably already addressed elsewhere but I can't find a thread.

Does a Shield 2.0 slide fit on a Shield Plus frame? If so where can one purchase a Plus frame? I like my Shields but would like the additional capacity of the plus.

I've never done it, but from the S&W website, they sell a 3.1" optic ready slide that fits a Shield 1.0, 2.0 or Shield Plus. So, I would believe the frame to slide interfaces are the same.

When it comes to replacing frames, you're getting into some gray areas. S&W will probably tell you it can't be done for liability reasons. If you Google it, you'll find places like Rocket City selling complete full and compact size frames at prices coming close to used gun prices.

You might be better off, selling your gun and buying what you want.

When I briefly owned an original Shield and a Shield Plus, I swapped the slides on them and they seemed to fit fine. I didn't shoot them, however.

As for Shield Plus frames, the frame is the serialized part of the pistol. The Gun Broker seller Freestone Armory does have stripped Shield Plus frames for ~$50, but you will have to ship it to an FFL and pay a transfer fee.

Yes... The slides and frames of all Shield variants are interchangeable.
