IMO, the two biggest changes in the M2.0 series is the grip stippling and the new trigger bar/sear arrangement.
It is fairly easy for S&W to see how the after market services their guns, i.e., who is selling what accessories for their guns, and how S&W is losing that revenue. In addition, the customer perception that S&W guns
need changes to be more functional puts S&W in an awkward position. Besides, new, tweaked models SELL.
Better grips, sights and especially triggers top the list of Shield improvements, and because of economies of scale in their manufacturing processes, S&W can provide these improvements with little increased cost.
Yep. It's gonna happen. Six months is my prediction, maybe less.
