I recently purchased a 30 SC Shield. The 13rd mag when inserted in the gun fits flush with the base of the grip. I'd prefer a grip ext with no added bullets so my "pinky" ain't hangin out in the breeze when I hold the gun. A little research tells me the Pearce ext with the designation " PG-MPPL" is what I need. This designation is the same type that fits the 9mm Shield+. Not much info about it fitting my 30SC. Does this sound right?
Thanks, Jim

Glad to hear you got the right part. I had nothing to add, I'm just glad to know someone else has a 30 SC anything. I've got an EZ chambered for it. I read recently that S&W isn't making them anymore. I don't think anyone else ever did. Nighthawk? High Point?

I might have to take it to the range next time. I've got some ammo stashed away.

Thank you CajunBass for responding to my inquiry. There's a post on the web that's 8mos old referring to S&W's intent at that point to discontinue the 30SC. I bought it because I got it for $275 and of course the Veridian was an added plus. I've had a Shield 9 shot for many years and really like it. My understanding is I can take the slide/barrel assm off that gun and xfer it to the 30SC frame and have what amount's to a 9mm Shield plus with no further alteration. Even if that's not true I intend to carry both guns (probably one at a time) in the near future.

Same reason I got mine. I paid $225.00 for it. It was marked as "used" but I don't think it had ever been fired. I suspect they just "dumped" it at less than half retail to get rid of it. I've got about a thousand rounds stashed away for some reason. I might as well shoot it sooner or later I suppose.
