Shield 40 ejects brass everywhere

I have tried several brands of ammo and reloads, also several different shooters. Good grip, poor grip did not seem to make a difference. Brass lands all over the place from 5 feet behind me to 20 feet to the right and anywhere in between. Has been like this since new and now has 5-600 rounds thru it.
Is this the nature of the beast?

Not hitting me but is a bit of a challenge to collect brass.

Is the ejector too loose or bent? There should be some movement in the ejector pin but if it's bent toward the left side it may glance off the edge of the cartridge giving inconsistent ejections. Ammo plays a large part in ejection too. Largely because of the speed of the slide by recoil.

It's prolly the result of all the different ammo...I'll bet the same ammo will eject the same way to the most part.....I agree with safe ejections are the only concern to worry about.
