Was there ever a Shield 45 version 1.0? If there was, what's the difference between the Shield 45 1.0 vs 2.0?

I did a quick search and it appears there’s a 1.0 and 2.0 in 45acp. Just guessing here, I’d say the differences are in the texture of the grip and possibly a slight cosmetic difference. I’d expect them to differ like the 9mm 1.0 and 2.0.

So there's a Shield 45 acp 1.0 that has the same grip texture and look as the Shield 9mm 1.0?

If I remember correctly, when the .45 acp Shield was first released, it incorporated the M2.0 enhancements that were just beginning to be included in the new productions of the 9mm/.40 s&w. I managed to plead and beg to get one of the first .45acp Shields from one of my distributors, Davidson's, as they were allocated. The first .45 acp Shields (mine included) just didn't have the M2.0 engraved on the slide like the later ones and the 9mm/.40's did.

The M&P45 Shield debuted with the M2.0 Features, they merely added the "M2.0" stamp later on in production to clear confusion since nobody wanted to buy it unless it was a 2.0 Model, and you'd often see comments online like; "I'll hold off until a 2.0 is released" not knowing any better.

So no, there was never an M&P45 1.0, unless you count early production models which lacked the "M2.0" stamp, yet were still 2.0s with the exact same aggressive grip texture, forward slide serrations, and improved trigger.
