I bought my Shield 9 a few months ago and am hooked on this great little gun for my EDC. Fortunately, before buying a bunch of holsters for different situations, I found that the Shield fits almost perfectly in some of my Glock 19 leather holsters. Specifically, Galco IWB and Galco OWB. Didn't work with any Kydex. I was very surprised given the significant difference in width of the two guns.

I found the same with a Desantis Sof-Tuck that was originally purchased for a Glock 27. Being a IWB holster the Shield stays put.

Yeah... Back when the Shield first came out, checking holster 'model numbers' showed that many (if not most) G26/27 holsters and Walther PPS holsters were a perfect fit for the Shield.

For Kydex/Hybrid holsters, one can convert almost any holster using a hair dryer and an oven mit. I converted an old Kholster Hybrid made for a PF-9 to work with my Shield using this method.

I also have both Glocks and Galcos, I found my Shield 9mm fit perfectly into my Galco Walk-a-bout for my Glock 23 ... (The Walk-a-bout is basically their basic tuckable IWB leather holster called the "Sto-n-Go" with an added flap of leather to form an extra magazine pouch.)

In fact before I bought my Galco King Tuk IWB Hybrid for the Shield, I used the Sto-n-Go to carry my Shield , worked fine if not the most practical all-day/every-day solution.

The Sto-N-Go is one of the two that I mentioned for my G19. I have found it to be a great little holster that works well for me for both appendix and 3:30 carry. The price is right for sure!

A buddy of mine bought a don hume H715M S No. 18 PPS and said it fits like it was made for it. I think it is the size for the walther pps.

I will say also this... I ordered an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck IWB for my G23 early in the summer... after my order was confirmed, they sent me an email stating they charged me the order total, and that it would be 4-6 weeks wait. I was pretty missed, replacing the M with a P to make the real word. It took them until the 7th going on 8th week to get it here... during that time, I had already decided I would need a dedicated EDC pistol and wanted to buy the Shield. I got the Cloak Tuck holster for my G23 and tried it, it was nice, but still... I needed a Shield.

When I went to order a new good and primary holster for my Shield, I was so missed with a P at Alien Gear , I skipped the idea of ordering another Cloak Tuck or even the newer Cloak Tuck 2.0 holster and went with the Galco King Tuck IWB... it was like an exact style of the Cloak Tuck but, different. It was a lot smaller and more petite of a package, with rigid plastic as the shell and rivets instead of the adjustable Allen-key screws used on the Alien Gear.

As it has gotten cold in FL finally, I have started incorporating my G23 into my carry rotation. From Aug through Nov, I carried the Shield every day, all day, generally in the King Tuk. Well ... let me say this: I really am liking this Alien Gear holster more and more. Despite the fact the G23 is like double the gun that the Shield is, it's at least as comfortable as the Shield because this is really a nicer holster. it just feels better, I like it a lot. I think that the Shield would be AMAZING in one of these holsters. Am I going to get one? Doubtful, because my $57.57 Galco King Tuk does the job and does it well enough. But, still, I am more sold on the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck and recommend it to others.

I really don't care for the PEOPLE of Alien Gear, as they were dismissive bamboozlers as far as I'm concerned... but their prices are amazing and their product awesome.

I always try out ones I have 1st. Even the kydex and hybrid holsters may not list the gun but it will fit it. I found that my Kel Tec PF9 and Sig 1911 Ultra Compact .45 fit all the same holsters. Not as lucky with my shield had to get a new one.
