Can someone recommend a comfortable holster for this carry method. Thanks in advance!

No, because the small of the back holster is basically uncomfortable to most every body type. It is difficult to draw and re-holster your handgun, and most every pistolero knows half a dozen people who broke their backs while wearing this type of holster.

I have a Galco for the compact Glocks. Look at this model.

Ditto for what ColbyBruce said

I'm not a fan of that placement because I had a friend fall on his back & the Bodyguard he was carrying back there would have broken his spine if he hadn't landed on his butt first.

Plus, you have to learn to cross-draw from an opposite sided holster - which is not exactly easy to do in a calm setting - so imagine what it would be like if someone gets the drop on you. You expose your entire frontal area when you reach around your waist.

Word to the wise: hip hold or appendix hold. These give you the ability to crouch down and turn your body away from the perp while drawing your gun.

Alien Holsters make some of the most comfortable IWB models I've tried - even if you'd got a Monster Truck-sized spare tire :)

I'm assuming IWB because those who go for the back hold are more concernede about printing.

Tagua makes what's called a 4 in 1 holster (IWB,OWB,Crossdraw, small of back). I purchased one for my Shield 9 because I liked the idea of "options" with one holster, though I only planned to use it OWB. It has since been replaced with a different holster and now collects dust in the drawer.

Like the previous comments, I'm not a fan of small of back carry and will not do it. The perceived "pros"are far outweighed by the cons.

Using a SOTB holster causes even the most agile people to fall and break their backs. Guaranteed. SOTB holsters keep the wheelchair makers in business. And, every holster maker who makes an SOTB model is regularly sued to recover hospital and therapy costs. Ask anybody on the internet. They'll tell you.

Just like any other type of holster, the only way to find out if it works for you is to get one.

Small of the back (ed: I used initials and SW changed it to asterisks, LOL) guns frequently ride up shirts and jackets to expose the gun. BTDT twice that I know of (crowd reaction).

I've read all the internet stories of paralyzed people, etc. but never heard a story of any identifiable person that this happened to. Most of us have considerable curvature there and larger rear ends such that I don't see this as a legit concern for a small/medium sized gun. YMMV

I was not serious. It's like reading about the huge number of kids who ran with scissors and are now blind.

I used to have a customer who had several 2" & 3" scars on his neck and cheek. He was running to school (lived behind his elementary school) and fell with a handful of pencils. Those pencils stuck in his neck and left cheek and then broke apart.

I bought a CrossBreed Supertuck Deluxe, natural horsehide (cowhide absorbs sweat) for my S&W M&P Shield 9 with Lasermax. I have a moderate-large truck size spare tire. :) I need to wear pants 1 size bigger. Most comfortable IWB holster I ever had.

I have both read and been told that small of back will paralyze someone so many times over the years, and those spouting it usually believe it, so I like to dispel that info. The reasons I laid out above plus difficulty in drawing, crossing your body with the muzzle, etc. should be enough reasons not to do it however.

Don't carry in the small of your back. Bad things happen. Get an N82 Tactical Original Tuckable Holster Series $59.95. Carry at 3:30-4:00. You cannot beat that carry with small of back.
