Shield 9mm Grip??

Question? I am new to the shield and I am having problem with my grip on the shield. What does everyone use. Talon Grips, Traction Grips, Frame stippled, Hogue Grips, etc.. Please let me know what is best to use to get a better purchase on my grip.

Talon (grit, not rubber). Just make sure to follow the application directions. Work great, fit great. Inexpensive. Go direct with Talon for ordering. 2500 rnds with only one issue... I should have heated em up a bit more during application, especially around the base of the blackstrap. Good luck.
Oh, and the NDZ cnc aluminum baseplates are an awesome addition for my hand size (average large).

I recently put on the Hogue Handall Jr. Rubber Grip and I really like it. Best $6 I ever spent!

I also got the Hogue Handall Jr. I really like how it guides (forces) my fingers to line up on the grip. I also have the full-sized Handall on another pistol. It adds just a little girth, on the sides. The Handall Jr. and the Pearce mag extension, together, make the Shield very easy to hold on to. Now, I just need to work on the bottom of the trigger guard.

I tried the Talon rubber grips and liked them so much I put them on my M&P 45c too!
Never liked the Talon grit grips, maybe that's why they came out with the rubber type.

Pearce mag extension and the rubber Talon grips have served me well!

I have the rubberized Talons on mine, and the rubberized Traction grips on my Ruger SR9c. I've had them both on for 2 years and don't see any difference in the material used in them so pick the ones you like the looks of best. The Traction Grips tend to be a lot cheaper cost wise but not quality. The sandpaper grit type probably provide a more secure grip but will wear holes through your clothes if you carry the gun a lot.

Look them up and check out what they have. I have their grip on my shield and i love it. Its made of aluminum and gives u the extra grip for ur pinky.

I second Talon rubberized. Had to purchase second set as the first one did not last 1.5 years (4000-5000 rounds, pretty heavy use), but I also messed up on initial installation, so as Talon started to peel off, I just cut pieces away, eventually just replaced with the new one

I modded mine with a piece of bicycle inner tube. Before putting it on I punched holes in it with a leather hole punch. Once stretched over the grip the perforations make the rubber grip even better. I found that this little bit of rubber, while making little difference in the size of the grip, provided much better grip and recoil control.

Talon rubberized on both of our Shields. 2K rounds through both and they are still rockin! Tried the grit one on the wifes Shield...it works, but the rubberized are easier on the fingers and carrying IWB.
