Shield 9's Second Range Trip

Assuming you are a right handed shooter, you might want to try moving the position of your finger on the trigger further toward the end of your finger. Sometimes this will make a small shift in shot placement to the right.

Yes, right-handed. If I place the pad of my finger on the trigger, I get way left shots. The targets in the original post is with my finger in to the first knuckle. I shoot the Beretta Nano and 92FS accurately with the pad of my finger on the trigger.

Small FYI. The Fobus paddle holster for the PPS works for the Shield. It fits the shape perfectly and the Shield locks in perfectly.

Yes. I put the Hogue grip over talon grips. I want to see if by thickening up the grip a bit will cure my issue with shooting left a bit. If it works, the Talons are coming off. I have 100 rounds waiting for the next trip. Hopefully tomorrow.

I've been looking for a paddle OWB holster for the Shield. The Fobus might just be the one.

BTW, I have my Pachmayr grip glove over the Talons. The Pachmayr was slipping a bit after a several rounds. I think with Talons this will be a non-issue. Haven't gotten back out to try them yet. I like the little extra grip thickness the Pachmayr's give.

Not quit off the tip. I will try that next time. I suspect you are correct. I just need to get that finger placement down a bit more!

UPDATE REGARDING KEYHOLING

I used the neon stick on targets this time. Zero keyholing. It is just the cheap targets my range uses. YeeHaw!!

Didn't get to take a picture of the shots taken with the neon target, as my phone battery died. But here is my first target to compare with the above targets. As you can see my shooting left problem has been cured.

Thanks for the tip on the holster. As far as the Talon Grips, are you sure you are appying them correctly? Make sure to heat them after you install them, it makes a big difference. I did not do on my first set and they ended up comming off. I have them now installed on all my guns (rubber) and no problems.

Yes. I heated them afterwards too.

Knew I read about the "key hole" I just had to find the thread.

Went to the range with my shield yesterday and noticed I had this. Glad to hear its actually nothing

Only other issue I have now is brass flying straight back. Hopefully another box of wwb will fix that.

To ICD , I too have brass cumming straight back to my forehead on my 9mm Shield. I have read a thread that low grain ammo will do this. I use 115 grain range ammo mostly. I have not had a chance to get back to the range to try 124 or 147 ammo yet.This sounds like it might be the fix. It dose not happen on every round though.If you get a chance to try this before me please post your results.
