My LGS in Minneapolis had five 7round mags on the shelf, so I bought 1. No 8 round though...

At Midway, beware of the "Expected date in stock" feature. It is not often reliable! It may continue moving for weeks. Sign up to be notified when it comes in to stock- that works well for me. Never had any problem with their shipping or cust srvc.

Don't know how long you've been into the M&P's. But they were like that when they first came out with the M&P line too. FS mags were hard to find for quite awhile,got caught up,hard to find again and then finely got caught up with the demand.
Wish they would have done a two mag rebate (or $50.), like they did with the FS M&P's. At least we got two mags and not just one (???) like the M&P 22's.

Getting extra mags is tough with almost ANY new model, regardless of brand, unless they share the same mags with an existing model. It was tough for about a year to find G26 mags, XDsc mags, LC9 mags and it's still tough to find XDMc Flush mags.
It'll probably be tough to find XD-S mags for a while too.

The Shield is my first M&P, but perhaps not my lastWas nice to get 2 mags with it.
It's easy to get hooked on the M&P's. I have six and I'm looking at two more 45 Mid and 9c. Those darn 40's keep calling me too. Once the dust settles,I'll more than likely have a 40 Shield too.

Same here. I too am finding most online places out of the Shield mags but most of the LGSs around here have a good supply of the 8 rounders at least

Klubba.....where are you located in NH? Riley's has a ton of the 8 rounders albeit they want 41.80 for them. I know another place that has 2 of the 8 rounders for 34.99 if you are interested. This was as of Saturday

I live over in Brentwood. Bought my shield at Riley's. Trying to get an 8 round magazine under $40. Which place had them for 34.99?
I purchased Shield 7 & 8 mags Cabelas online before Christmas free shipping. I pulled the plastic extension off 8 round and carry in Desantis mag pouch in opposite pocket.
I would imagine with 7 round max in NY you may find it hard to locate 7 round magazines but there should be a bunch of 8 round used coming from Newyorkers.

I was in Brentwood this weekend. Ate lunch at Goody Coles Saturday and traveled through on my way to Stateline in Plaistow yesterday. Used to buy a lot from Northern Bass as well. Surprised to see it still there lol
