Anyone done it? I seem to pretty consistently hit to the left (maybe 1"). The manual says to only adjust the front sight.

Is it difficult to get to move? Do you really have to whack on it?

At 7yds how much do I need to move it to the front sight to the left to get my group to move 1" to the right?

Thanks!

Have you shot out from rest? I would try that before moving your sights. I was also shooting left with my shield 9. I shot from a rest and it was dead on. I adjusted the way I shot the pistol and did nothing with the sights.

I have not "adjusted" mine but just the past two days had them swapped for TruGlo TFOs. My LGS told me he would do this for me for free when I bought the gun from him, then he says "Oh I don't have tools for M&Ps sorry....'.

So I called a local master gunsmith I didn't know was 10 mins away. He started the job as we chatted; first, he put some sort of super duty penetrating oil /solvent on the front and rear sights. Then he had me hold the gun down while he used a brass punch with a hammer to tap out the front sight. it didn't move freely or come out with one tap, but after about 5 hits with the hammer, each tap moved it a little and about 5-10 more got it out.

It didn't look super SIMPLE but not impossible either, he didn't beat the living daylights out of the sight but it took some effort. I also would always be extremely hesitant to adjust sights because you just never know, but if you have no other option, I guess you gotta do it.
