Hello fellow m&p owners. I have what I may believe to be some leading issues. I have shot around 250 rounds of the ultramax reman ammo through my 40 s&w shield. Gun Rand flawless, no hickups, couple coughs from the smoky powder, but otherwise pleased. I broke the pistol down for cleaning and was surprised to find lead streaks (looked like strings?) Hanging from the recess of the rifling of the barrel. Took a brass brush up and down the barrel and then found small dropplets along the rifling here and there. I am assuming I am seeing what is described to be leading. Anyone ever had this problem or seen it with the m&p line?

I saw that UltraMax at a local Dick's. Lead bullets (not allowed at my local ranges) and mixed cases (not all brass, again, not allowed at my range).
It was not even $10 cheaper for 100 rounds compared to new ammo (on sale).

I passed on it.

That is what is most accurately described as "A Mess". I would advise you become acquainted with the Lewis Lead Remover. Once you finished with that process I can assure you that you won't ever again consider the purchase of "budget" ammunition.

Yes, quickly learned my lesson friends ha-ha. Never again will I buy ultramax. Too dirty, too much hassle to clean the dang pistol. This is my carry gun, so it gets a very thorough cleaning. Too much time of day spent on cleaning after practice. Thanks for the replies.
