Shield Manual Safety Question

I'm glad you chimed in. That's very helpful for me to know. Just to make a point to them, I am even thinking of changing the manual safety out myself as the part is only $6 on Midwestgunworks' website.

Sheepdogged, does yours stop on the way down? When you are taking it off safety, do you still get the tactile and audible? Mine does not when safety is going off. Only when putting the safety on. Mine also has a less defined stop in the middle.
Also, it will happen when it's field stripped. If you are sending the pistol back, make sure you put the safety in the weird middle position with a sticky note pointing to it so they can see it.

My P.C. Shield 1.0 in 9mm's safety is a firm on/off with no play, the trigger pull is consistently measures just under 4.75 lbs and actually feels less than that. If your trigger isn 6.75 to 7 lbs that's not a PC trigger and it needs to be returned to bring it to Real P C standards.
Any safety that is not strictly on/off with zero play or having any "third" position that is not factory designed into it should be fixedly S&W.
Don't take no for an answer, be real nice but firm while explaining your concerns , calmly insist that your trigger does not meet the P C quality expectations and that the safety is a real world accidental discharge waiting to happen.
