Shield - Normal slide groove

Hi All,
I was cleaning my Shield today and noticed a groove that I haven't seen before. It may have been there before, but you know those times when you can't recall if a groove, scratch, mark was there before? If anyone is able to check their slide can you confirm if this is a normal groove.

I just checked mine and it has that mark too, but not as deep as yours.

Mine's 3Yrs old and has that very same indentation.

I just bought a new Shield 9 mm last week and it has it but it's like only about a third as deep as in your picture.

My Shield .40 has an indention in the same spot, not as big though. Yours looks to perfect to me to be anything other than made that way.
